Paul Kam

Paul founded BakLok Advisors after a broad career in finance across Australia, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen. His roles spanned commercial banking, debt and equity markets, and institutional coverage within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team of Hong Kong's largest bank — where he was positioned for regulatory communications.

In communications, Paul trained directly under a decorated equerry to Queen Elizabeth II, an ex-Goldman Sachs Chief Operating Officer, and an ex-Morgan Stanley Head of Learning & Development. That formation is the backbone of BakLok's practice framework.

Prior to and in the establishment phase of BakLok, Paul served as Chief of Staff to a family-office-backed private-market venture in 2018; at an asset manager with a CIO of central-banking / sovereign-asset-advisor background from 2019–2021; and at a global insurance brokerage from 2024–2025.

Paul is trilingual — English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (Commerce), an 8-year CPA (Australia) chartered holder, and was previously an SFC-licensed representative (Licences 1, 4, and 9).
